“Whether by chance or through deliberate subterfuge in your employer’s part, you’ve stumbled upon my efforts to stop the Maggia families from discussing their next step in expanding trade of the mutant growth hormone one building over. I plan to give my input by severing their respective spines.”

“Of course, I mean you no harm. However, delightful as I am sure your company is, I have no interest in being interrupted.”

as fun as that sounds, i’m thinking there are less messy ways to get what you want. subdue them, make their hormone recipes go missing.

“ ‘ ripping out their spines , on the other hand ? i might not be able to look the other way on that one.

All the metal on her is comforting, and he doesn’t count it against her. Clearly she was not given all the information necessary to carry out whatever this is. On purpose, perhaps? Who has the Black Widow upset?

“Someone doesn’t like you, Ms. Romanoff. Aren’t you glad that you’ve met the gentleman and not the executioner?”

natasha knows better than to trust him: magneto is a SLAUGHTERER of HUNDREDS, if not thousands. ( not so different from her, a voice in the back of her head whispers. ) but what choice does she have ? most of her weapons are useless against him, and it’s not as if she’d get close enough to knock him out.

why don’t you be a gentleman and tell me what’s going on here, magneto ?

@ironbraze

that can’t be right. true – - he’s well-known, plenty more INFAMOUS than most she’s encountered, and she’s not surprised to meet him like this. but her target was supposed to be b-ranked, not the mutant before her. and here she is, armed to the teeth in metal, for crying out loud.

i’m not sure how much of a gentleman you are. then again, if you’ve heard of me, you know that it’s no obstacle.

This is what I am now

One of the most valuable skills in espionage: the unteachable skill to belong anywhere. The other edge of what is the unfortunate truth: You must first belong nowhere.
